Corrosion-wise, the 212 D is not problematic, thanks to indoor storage. There are 3–4 minimal, easily accessible rust bubbles. Large areas of the vehicle are rust-free, and even at the typical problem spots for this model, this specimen is in good, solid condition.

A first-series Sprinter in this excellent condition with the strongest diesel engine is now hard to find.
