Popis
For sale is an International COF-4070B Transtar II from 1980/81.
History: The vehicle was originally imported into Austria as a geophysical survey truck to work for ÖMV. After several changes of ownership, it eventually came into my possession. Unfortunately, only the chassis could be salvaged from the original vehicle, which led to the subsequent conversion. The vehicle has an original mileage of 41,000 miles on the odometer.
Documentation: The vehicle is classified as a 'self-propelled work machine up to 90 km/h.' It is currently registered, and license plates are deposited. The inspection certificate (Pickerl) is valid until 09/2026. Included are the original manuals, a parts list, and the 'Line Setting Ticket,' which allows for the accurate ordering of spare parts from the USA and Canada that are guaranteed to fit.
Technical Data: The truck is powered by a 230 HP Cummins NH series engine. The gearbox is a Fuller (RT-9509). From there, the first driveshaft connects to a Spicer reduction gearbox, which also accommodates the PTO, and subsequently to the two drive axles.
The technical configuration is completely original and fully functional. However, due to age, issues may arise at any time. A few minor items still need attention—for example, the cab tilt pump and the Breakmaster require servicing (service parts are included).

Conversion: As already mentioned, only the chassis could be saved since the superstructure was completely gutted. To retain the vehicle’s character, the conversion followed the work machine concept. I won’t elaborate further here—please refer to the pictures for more information. If you have any questions, please email or call me.
Other: I am selling the vehicle because I have had it for long enough. Although the restoration is not fully completed (an original fifth wheel is still outstanding), I have made significant progress within my means. There are also personal reasons for the sale, which I do not wish to specify here.
The vehicle will be sold with the complete equipment: tie-down chains, straps, toolbox, marker boards, flags, wheel chocks, etc. Also included in the price are various spare parts, service materials, the original seats, filters, Bowden cables, cab marker lights, and essentially everything that has accumulated over the years. Personal belongings acquired over time are excluded from the sale.
The listed price is negotiable, but please refrain from 'What's your last price?' calls. For motorhome enthusiasts: the vehicle is leaf-sprung and will destroy any melamine dishes. Test drives are generally possible, but only depending on weather conditions. Experience with double clutching and double-declutching is required. As this is a used vehicle/classic truck, all warranty and guarantee claims as well as return and refund rights are excluded.
