Popis
Original early fire brigade G from second hand, which has never been used for civilian purposes to date.
TÜV and H-Certificate (according to §23 StVZO) passed in September 2025.
Inspection (HU) valid until 09/2027 ("no defects found" during inspection by DEKRA).

Year of manufacture: 1981 / First registration: 07-1981.
Only 29,800 total kilometers of mileage in just over 44 years of fire service duty.
Advance rescue vehicle (VRW) with ZIEGLER superstructure and Knurz-Kirsch generator with 5 KVA output.
German vehicle, with the original registration document (only 2 previous owners recorded until today), continuously registered and in active service or kept in the garage until 10/2025.
As vehicle manufacturer, the GFG "Geländefahrzeug-Gesellschaft", at the time a joint venture of Daimler-Benz and Steyr-Daimler-Puch in Austria, is entered in the original papers. This is one of the last vehicles produced under this manufacturer entry; shortly thereafter, "Daimler-Benz" was also registered as the vehicle manufacturer in the documents.
According to a 1991 entry, a complete MATTER roll bar was installed in the vehicle, which is still present today.
A small roof rack system for transporting long equipment items is included.
The long 280 GE is the largest and most powerful model from the first G-series, which could be ordered as standard ex-factory in the early years of the Mercedes G-Class.
The M110 six-cylinder in-line petrol engine with 2717 cc and 115 kW/156 hp runs well.
4-speed manual gearbox plus differential locks.
Power steering.
155 km/h is entered as the max speed (Vmax).
A power take-off for operating the generator is also installed.
The last main use of the vehicle was transporting a portable fire pump (TS) with suction hoses and accessories. Therefore, there are no rear seats and there is a loading area. Other than the two front seats, no additional seats are available.
According to the original documents it's registered as a "3-seater", registration type "Other vehicle - fire engine, advance rescue vehicle, VRW".
Unladen weight: 2360 kg.
The permissible gross vehicle weight was originally 2900 kg and, per a 1991 registration entry, has been increased to 3030 kg.
Thus, the 280 GE currently offers 670 kg payload.
Overall dimensions: length 4395 mm / width 1700 mm / height 2150 mm.
Tyre size 205/80R16.
Fitted with good winter tyres with snowflake symbol as per current regulations (DOT = 2018).
Although the G does not have a tow bar, the necessary base traverse is installed. Information on retrofitting/towing capacity cannot be provided, as the original registration document states "not applicable" for these fields.
