Original early fire service G-Class from second ownership, which has never been used for civilian purposes.
TÜV inspection and classic car certification (according to §23 StVZO) successfully passed in September 2025.
General inspection valid until 09/2027 (certified "no defects" by DEKRA).
Year of manufacture: 1981 / First registration: 07-1981.
Only 29,800 total kilometers driven over just over 44 years in fire service.
Advance equipment vehicle (VRW) with ZIEGLER body and Knurz-Kirsch power generator with 5 kVA output.
German vehicle with the original registration document (only 2 ownership entries to date); continuously registered and in service or garaged until 10/2025.

The original paperwork lists the manufacturer as GFG "Geländefahrzeug-Gesellschaft", a joint venture between Daimler-Benz and Steyr-Daimler-Puch in Austria at the time. This is one of the last vehicles with this manufacturer designation; shortly after, "Daimler-Benz" appeared as the listed manufacturer in registration documents.
A full MATTER roll bar was installed in 1991—as per vehicle records—and is still present.
Includes a small roof rack system for the transport of long equipment.
The long-wheelbase 280 GE is the largest and most powerful G-Class model from the first series that could be ordered ex works in the early years.
The 6-cylinder inline petrol engine M110 with 2717 cc and 115 kW/156 PS runs well.
4-speed manual transmission with differential locks.
Power steering.
155 km/h is the registered top speed.
A power take-off (PTO) for operating the generator is also installed.
The vehicle has primarily transported a portable fire pump (TS) with suction hoses and accessories. Thus, there are no rear seats, only a load bay. No other seats besides the two front ones are present.

Gross vehicle weight was increased from the original 2,900 kg to 3,030 kg (as per 1991 entry).
