At Agritechnica 2009, JCB will present its latest and so far smallest mini telehandler, the 515-40 Miniscopic. With its compact dimensions of 1.80 m in height, 2.97 m in length, and a total weight of less than 3.5 tonnes, this innovative mini telehandler promises highly interesting application possibilities. Many complex tasks that previously required several other machines can now be accomplished with just one unit. European agricultural contractors, as well as pig, poultry, cattle, and dairy farms in particular, will significantly benefit from this compact model. The mini telehandler has been developed to improve productivity in agricultural operations such as silage handling, stacking bales, or loading pallets, and to make everyday work easier.

For easy and efficient manoeuvrability even in confined spaces and on uneven terrain, the new telehandler features all-wheel drive, all-wheel steering, and a hydrostatic transmission. Fitted with a 50 hp Deutz engine, this JCB machine offers a lift capacity of 1,500 kg at a lift height of 4 meters. For added versatility, the compact telehandler can be equipped with a quick coupler.

Combining the most essential functions in one machine makes it a valuable addition to any operation. Compact and highly manoeuvrable, the machine can operate within buildings, something often not possible with traditional machinery. Thanks to its light weight, the mini telehandler also provides excellent off-road capability on soft ground.

Its compact dimensions and high lift height give the machine added flexibility for loading applications, particularly due to the ability to load directly even in low buildings. Despite its compact size, the telehandler also offers a high level of comfort, featuring a spacious, air-conditioned cab and an air-suspended deluxe driver’s seat. The cab, built to ROPS and FOPS standards, is low-noise, ensuring safety and protecting the operator’s health. Access is made easy thanks to a low entry step. An automatic warning system, visible to the driver, continuously monitors and displays the machine’s stability and tipping safety.
