DAF T1300 “Frog” recovery vehicle
In January 1963, this DAF T1300 “Kikker” was newly registered for road use in the Netherlands.
It is highly likely that this DAF was originally purchased new by Shell, and its original color was “Shell Yellow.”
Later, this DAF was converted into a recovery vehicle and subsequently used by a small workshop in Brabant.
After the death of the original garage owner, his son had the vehicle completely restored.
The vehicle has been completely repainted in red; additionally, the brakes and the vacuum pump, etc. were replaced.
This most likely took place around the year 2000.
The superstructure is operated manually, the winch is driven via an intermediate shaft.
The boom is also extendable, and there is a manual scoop as well.
The DAF is equipped with a 6-cylinder petrol engine (type: BA475), 2 storage boxes and 2 hydraulic couplings at the rear of the cabin.
It is very likely that the odometer reading of 19,643 km is original!
